Cowboy obstacle racing is an exciting event, featuring horses and riders competing on an obstacle course which is timed and judged. Races are open for all ages and riding ability featuring the following classes

Entries close August 7, 2025 at 6:00 pm, no exceptions
Competitors are judged riding obstacles in order while being timed. Final score will include obstacle, horsemanship points and time to complete.
Obstacles may include bridges, dug out trench, ground tie, back-up, side pass, drag and free ride. Free ride is to show your horsemanship and horse’s ability.

Novice Adult – Over 18yrs 10 obstacles Fee $10 Added $50
Intermediate – Over 18yrs 13 obstacles Fee $40 Added $200
Green Horse – All ages 10 obstacles Fee $10 Added $50
(Horses can not be entered in any other class)
Non-pro – Over 12 yrs 13 obstacles Fee $50 Added $250
Ride Smart – Over 55yrs 13 obstacles Fee $40 Added $200
Pro – Over 18yrs 13 obstacles Fee $60 Added $300
Open all ages – 13 obstacles Fee $60 Added $300
Rules
All participants must pay gate admission
EXCA Rules apply
All riders under 18 years of age must wear approved head protection at all times while mounted on grounds
Proof of Liability insurance required ($2,000,000 required)
Competitors must ride the obstacles in order
Novice Riders can not compete in any other classes
Riders may compete in a maximum of 3 classes
Acceptable tack & dress
Western Saddle, Western Attire, Australian Saddle, Australian or Western Attire, English Saddle, English attire (Novice classes only)
