The St. Lawrence Valley Agricultural Society is sponsoring a forage exhibit as a special commercial feature in order to recognize the value of, and encourage production of top quality forage.

Soil & Crop Members are encouraged to participate.

REGULATIONS:

1. All exhibitors must be members of the St. Lawrence Valley Agricultural Society.
2. All classes must be current crop.
3. All exhibits will be showin in a special display. Inquire with the secretary as to the location of the exhibit.
4. All entries must be submitted between 5:00-8:00 p.m on Thursday, August 8, 2019. Exhibits will be judged after 8pm.
5. All exhibits must be removed at 5:00 p.m on Sunday.
6. All applicable rules of the St. Lawrence Valley Agricultural Society will apply.
7. Not more than one entry per class from each exhibitor or farm.
8. Hay will be displayed in plastic bags available from the fair office.
9. Limit weight in haylage and corn silage to 5lbs. or less (because of heat)
10. All hay will be judged on the basis of the following score card:
Stage of Maturity………………………….……30 points
Texture……………………………………..………20 points
Leafiness………………………………..…….…..20 points
Colour and aroma………………………….…..10 points
Conformity to class requirments………….10 points
Purity..………………………………………………10 points
  Total………………………………………………100 points

PRIZE MONEY:           1st  – $15      2nd – $12     3rd – $10

SPECIAL PRIZE: The Grand Champion Hay Classes prize is one bag of see corn donated by Munro Agromart Ltd.
